Have been using a couple of these towels for And having gone through numerous washes, I have to admit that they have not disappointed so far. They have retained most of their softness, even without the use of fabric conditioners. I see no real degradation or breakdown of fibers. Yes I can safely say I am off those cotton towels for good.
